2010 Fruit Picking at Riley's Farm

All Done with U-Pick for 2010, BUT..

Watermelons are a very tricky crop that we've been trying for a few years now. We lose a lot of melons to hail storms late in the season, and they have a hard time making it in the cold. But....the ones that make it, make it good. We've got huge fields this year of watermelons. They are getting bigger and bigger on the vines, and are wonderfully full of flavor.

We have a few varieties we're experimenting with, including a few you might not know exists. We not only have red fleshed watermelons, but we have some that have yellow insides, or orange and yellow swirls. These types taste amazing, but aren't popular in most grocery stores because of their unique nature. So if you want to try some good fresh watermelon, and maybe a few types you've never had, come on up.
