Put some Harvest in Your Labor
Day!
Dear Friends of Riley's Farm:

Because of the heat,
this looks like it will be an early harvest season, so sign up or
drive up! It pays to
plan your harvest--and
it helps us plan for you!
We now have Macintosh, Gravenstein and crab apples in the store
for purchase and we will be u-picking a few Gala
and Senshu apples this weekend.
Every year, a brigade of customers bemoan the passing of the crab apple
season. (These apples have their own loyal following
for baking and cider making.) The farm grill will be open for your
dining pleasure, so come on up Saturday and Monday of this
Labor Day weekend. (We're closed Sundays.)
Don't forget, we still have a bumper crop
of luscious deep red
raspberries, so you can add fresh
raspberries to your fresh cider, along with a crab apple here and there,
to make yourself a fall drink-treat. We're
picking pears now too.
Civil War buffs:
we will be hosting the American Civil War Society's
"Rememberance Fall Fair"
September 16th. (You can see a brief video of last
year's event by clicking on the Lincoln graphic at left.)
Blue Gray ball tickets
are going fast, so sign up!!!
Do you know someone who wants to work for Riley's Farm?
We need dedicated, country loving, customer-friendly people to help us
work the BERSERK fall Saturdays around here.
Why not work
the whole harvest with us--as a family?
We will hire you
to have fun! (And work really hard too.)
You always said you wanted to work the farm; now's your
chance.
Sign up! We also need people who love American history
to play the part of pioneers and minutemen and women of the revolution.
Seniors welcome! They make the best living historians!
Call Jan at 909-790-TIME to fill out an application.
Your Humble Servant, |
