Have Lunch Before or After you Pick!

Apple College and Picking Now Open on Saturdays!
This year we're doing things a bit different, you're not just getting apples, but you're getting an apple experience! You not only get to pick apples, but you get to learn about apples with guided tours through the orchards. You'll be able to learn about the many different apple types we have, learn how to pick the best apples, and best of all it's more affordable for the family than ever before! We will no loger require every guest to purchase their own bag, but instead we will charge a $2 entrance fee for the tour for each person. So now, a family of 5 can pick apples for as low as $17* vs the $35 it would have previously cost!

Apples at Riley's FarmOak Glen is famous for it's apples, and we're proud to have one of the largest orchards in The Glen. We also support the largest assortment of apples, with almost 100 varieties. We have tree's that are over a hundred years old, planted by the original Oak Glen family, and we have tree's less than a year old. Every year we attempt to plant several hundred new trees and restore old orchards that have been forgotten or destroyed.

We specialize in "heirloom" apples, which are apples that have been forgotten until now. Modern grocery store culture has breed the flavor and life out of apples in order to get pretty apples that last on the shelves for years. While we have some modern varieties, our favorites are the ones we grow for their wonderful flavor and uses. Some of those apples may be a bit ugly, but boy do they taste good!

Heirloom Orchard.

Not Available for U-pick. This orchards is planted to attempt to preserve several rare and antique varieties of apples. Many of these varieties are available for U-Pick in our main orchards. We will also be propagating these orchards over time to allow U-Pick. Let us know if you discover a historic apple that needs saving, or any old trees on your property that you're not sure about.
