All year round, on a daily basis, the Riley’s Farm Adventures in the Old World Series will feature 30 minute to full day workshops, featuring a skill from yester-year.  This autumn field trip represents an exploration of American colonial life emphasizing the cultural and domestic pursuits of hearth cooking, childrens period games, cider pressing, weaving, etiquette, quill calligraphy and more. This field trip is a living history exploration of the American Civil War with 6-8 dramatic and cultural workshops, a light lunch, and a mock battle. The field trip normally begins at 10:00 AM and concludes between 1:30 and 2:00 PM.
