American Revolution Field Trip
WHAT THE KIDS ARE SAYING

"... I thank you for the great time.  You have a wonderful farm.  You really outdid yourself.  It was really fun with the gardening, learning politeness, learning tools from the handheld machines, learning what to do and what to say during the war, making biscuits, watching metal soldiers being molded...My favorite part was when we did the American Revolutionary war.."    Katie, Age 11, Corona, CA

"I would like to thank you for giving us the best field trip of the year.   It was really amazing to go back in time and for learning about our history.."  Abigail, Age 11, Corona, CA

“Dear Mr. Riley and Staff – I feel that Riley’s Farm really taught us to appreciate what those soldiers did to fight for liberty…I learned that I should be proud of who I am, and to stand up for what I believe in…”   Haria, Age 11

“…the most important thing I learned was that the colonies fought for us and for our freedom.   That was the most important fact I learned most of all…”  Alexandra, Age 11

“I…learned that people would risk their lives to fight for freedom and justice…” Herman, Age 11, Sylmar

“Your farm was the best I’ve been to.   The best part was the girl who taught us 18th century manners..”   Olivia, Age 12

“What I liked most about the field trip was pretending to be in the war..”  Kayln, Age 11

“I learned that young soldiers fought for us and we should be thankful…” Hector, Age 11

“…I learned that some people fighting in the war didn’t get to see their families for a long time..”  Melissa, Age 12

“…I learned that they sacrifice their lives to save our freedom, so we can have a house without a guard in there…”  Jose, Age 11

“…I learned that these men didn’t fight for medals but for liberty…”   Jesus, Age 11

“…another thing I know is you should fight for freedom, because if you fight for freedom you won’t be the only one who gets freedom.  Everyone will get freedom…”    Alishia, Age 11

“I liked the battlefield shooting.  It was so realistic!  I have thought about what you guys said and it really touches me, and I’ll salute you for that.  And you ARE right;  you can buy candy and toys, but you cannot buy freedom.  This was one of the best fieldtrips I had.  Thank you.   Let freedom ring…”   Sarita, Age 11

“It was like taking part in history…”  Christiana, Age 11
