Sample Itinerary

Here is a sample itinerary that will let you know what kids can expect to experience in a week at Riley's Farm. Our crafts and activities often change on a weekly basis so everyone has something new to do each week. Schedules may vary for different age groups, for example, a younger group would have a "nap time" during the day that older groups would not have. Some activities such as Archery and Tomahawks also have minimum age requirements.

Monday
7:30am:              Arrival and check in

9:20am:             Introduction to staff and other campers. Safety Rules.
9:30am               18th century Etiquette lesson
9:40am               Morning Hike/Nature Walk
11.40am              Lunch
12.30pm             Crafting and Free time

                                                -Create your own wax letter seal

8:30am:            18th century Accoutrements Lesson

9:15am               Rose and Herb picking for later experiment
9:30am             Hayride to Heritage Homestead part of Farm
9:40am             Nature hike to remote orchard to gather cat tail reeds
11.40am             Lunch
12.30pm            Crafting and Free Time
                                                -Archery

                                                -Letter writing with quill and ink
                                                -sealing letters with homemade wax insignia
                                                -Candle Dipping

9:00am:            Check in, restroom break.
9:15am              Special games: Keeper of the flame, Alphabet card game
9:40am             Fire building class with flint and steel or bow and staff
11.40am             Lunch
12.30pm            Crafting and Free Time
