Riley's Farm Summer Day Camp
Where kids love to learn!
Staff
We are very proud of our staff at Riley's Farm.
The Riley's Farm family of employees consists of highly trained living historians, many holding college
degrees in varous subjects.
All of our summer staff works year round, not just during the summer. Throughout the entire year we play host to groups of students for our living history tours.
Our staff has undergone extensive training, CPR and First Aid certification, and have been subject to third party background checks.
Unlike many camps, we don't have a predonimantly "new hire" summer staff. Only the best and most experienced of our winter/spring staff remain on for summer employment, and any of our staff have worked at Riley's Farm for several years.
During your stay here, you will never see a counselor "out of character." Everyone is dressed in 18th or 19th century clothing to increase the realism of the program, and to enhance the educational experience. We even study and rehearse Colonial vocabulary and dialects.
Our busiest season is during the school year, not the summer. What that means for you is that out of dozens of employees, we will keep the few best working during the summer when we are much slower. Most of the counselors are day supervisors who are used to overseeing tours with hundreds of guest. Even the Riley family members themselves don costumes and participate.
