What You Will Learn

Riley's Farm is an agrotourism destination, and a living history farm. Agrotourism allows guests to learn about and interact with a working farm. Living history consists of actors who portray historical characters, and teach history through re-creation and interaction with historical characters and settings. All of our staff are fully costumed and trained historians in a setting that re-creates a small 18th century New England village. History literally comes alive at Riley's Farm.

Here are a few things you can expect to learn about:

-Colonial farm life.
-Colonial chores and crafts, such as candle making.
-Historical characters such as Patrick Henry and John Adams
-Social and political influences in colonial America.
-The history and founding of America
-Wilderness survival.
-Plants, animals and general nature of the Mountains.
-Farm crops and animals.
