TO CELEBRATE THE BRIEF TRUCE IN OUR TOWNSHIP SINCE HOSTILITIES BEGAN IN FARAWAY FORT SUMTER AND JOIN IN THE FESTIVE CELEBRATION OF SPRING WITH FOOD, MUSIC, AND DANCE; AND TO PROVE THAT CHIVALRY IS STILL ALIVE IN THE LAND WITH OUR RICH LEGACY OF HONOR AND SOCIAL TRADITION. TO THE SOLDIERS, FARMERS, MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN OF GOOD UPBRINGING, A RARE CHANCE IS OFFERED TO ENJOY THE GO OD SOCIETY OF OUR FELLOW BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF OUR ONCE UNITED LAND. PROPER MILITARY OR CIVILIAN ANTEBELLUM ATTIRE STRONGLY  RECOMMENDED

All civilian and military personnel, both ladies and Gentlemen of the Union and Confederacy are invited to attend at the big white house and grounds of the Hawks Head Ordinary at Riley’s Farm at

5   O’Clock pm Sat. May 31, 1863 (+ 140 yrs)

commencing with a sumptuous fare of BBQ Beef or Hen, Sautéed Vegetables, Sallet, Sliced Dessert, Pan Bread, Lemonade and Tea.  Music will be provided by the Stone Pantry Band and Dance master Jesse James will start the dancing at approximately 6:30 pm.  Tickets will go on sale April 15
