Joe Wilshire built his apple packing shed in 1887, and every Sunday afternoon the Wilshire family would barbecue, play games, and enjoy a summer afternoon with family and friends.   In 1986, Grandpa Ray Riley bought this farm from the Wilshires, and we’ve enjoyed many a summer picnic since.   Now you can too!

Upon Arrival, help yourself to refreshments and take a hay ride around the farm.   Riley’s is a working farm, which means y’all get to help out with the work.   We have some corn to shuck and apple cider to press.   After the chores are done, it’s dinner time.  Green Salad, Cowboy beans, baked potato, biscuits, chicken breasts and drumsticks, hot dogs, and hamburgers will satisfy your hunger.
After Dinner, Ryan Riley will be working his gold mining claim and everyone’s invited to pan for gold, work the rocker box, and other mining chores.    The 1880s Heber Cabin will be open for candlemaking and other cabin chores.  Gunny sack races, horseshoes, tomahawk and knife throwing contests are also available.   It’s a great way for you management folks to build team spirit in a true team building environment!

Riley's Western style is perfect for company picnics, family reunions, or a family get away into the past. The barn and surrounding green can accommodate up to 600 and is furnished with a commercial kitchen. We have a price to fit every budget, depending on your group size, menu, and activities featured. See reverse for general guidelines.
